Symbiosis with the Environment

Besides providing environment-conscious products and technologies, the Company makes efforts to play a role in environmental protection activities in collaboration with local communities, and values the harmony with the global environment and the symbiosis with local communities.

Symbiosis with Local Communities

The Company considers that the symbiosis with not only employees and customers, but also local communities is indispensable to enduring corporate development. We invite neighboring residents and families of employees, to hold a summer night festival at Hadano Plant and Sanyo Plant respectively. In addition, we participate in community-based activities, such as supporting community activities through donation.

Under the corporate philosophy "to respect the human nature, and create a workplace with dreams and vitality", the Company makes efforts to enhance work-life balance, health promotion, and company benefits, in order that each employee may take pride in working for NITTAN, and feel happy.

Realization of A Comfortable Working Environment

Toward the enhancement of work-life balance, the Company also make efforts to reduce the total work time continuously, by promoting the use of holidays and paid leave, implementing no overtime days, and others.
We have established the leave system which is composed of congratulation or condolence leave, refreshment leave, birthday leave, annual paid leave by the hour, etc., in order that the employee may take leave flexibly.
In addition, we have established the flextime system, as well as the shortened work system corresponding to child and family care leave to promote diverse work styles, providing a workplace where the employees can work depending on various situations, free from anxiety.

Creation of a Safe and Secure Workplace

Under the basic policy "to create a company in which employees can realize the safety, the security, and the stability steadily step by step", the Company makes every endeavor to construct a workplace in which the employees, as well as the customers, and partner companies can work in safety and with security. In concrete terms, by conducting regularly in-company safety patrols and a risk assessment to find potential risks and harms, we make efforts to prevent industrial accidents. In addition, we implement a medical examination and a stress check for employees, recommend a medical examination for employees' dependents, and provide a special medical check regarding occupational diseases (dust inhalation, etc.).

Enhancement of Benefit and Welfare System

The Company also focuses on the enhancement of benefit and welfare system. The system is composed mainly of a corporate pension, a retirement allowance, property accumulation savings, home loan, employee stock ownership, and others, as well as a dormitory for single employees, and a leased company house (exclusively for employees working at the sales office, and transferees).
We also provide a shop to be arranged tie-ups with a major convenience store chain at the Hadano Plant, as a unique welfare facility. In addition, we set a tennis court on the Hadano Plant ground in November 2021. As this tennis court is available to not only the employees, but also the public, we expect that it will contribute to the regional revitalization.

NPM Activity

NPM activity is based on the idea and the activity of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance).
In accordance with TPM which aims for building of business structure to pursue the efficiency of production system to the utmost (to eliminate production losses) advocated by Japan Institute of Plant Maintenance, we develop NITTAN's own kaizen activity, with the full participation of employees, in all the departments not limited to production departments alone.
The Company named this activity NPT after "N"ittan's own approach to TPM, and has deployed it since its introduction in 1991, by continuously renewing its contents.
At present, it is possible to say that this approach has evolved into "Nittan Total Production Management".

NPM Activity Policy

With NPM activity, we shall aim for "manufacturing which creates an impression on customers"!

We shall strengthen the foundations with NPM activity.
  1. Through NPM activity, we shall create the quality that the customers demand, and establish a basis for further improvement.
  2. We shall eliminate a bottleneck by promoting strongly improvement in cost, and make it possible to provide the price which creates an impression on the customers.
  3. We shall acquire skills and knowledge with NPM activity, abandon the attitude waiting for instructions, act in thinking by ourselves, and harness it into a work.
We shall pursue a sustainable growth through NPM activity.
  1. Each of us shall continue to take action, and rejuvenate the activity eliminating losses and changing them into value.
  2. The NPM subcommittee shall support team activities and project activities, and enhance technological capabilities and improvement skills.
  3. The NPM subcommittee shall plan and manage a new strategy by itself, to seek rejuvenation of activities.
We shall reform the corporate climate with NPM activity.
  1. We shall foster an awareness of safety and environment in the personnel while building a good working environment, through elimination of risks and workplace improvement.
  2. As NPM is based on "human resource development", we shall make the employees learn the compliance awareness through NPM activity, for the purpose of internal reform.
  3. With thorough training and follow-up based on a change in thinking, we shall bring results.
