Basic Idea for the Environment

The Company, setting out the idea "to contribute to society through the development of the Company while making environmental symbiosis" at the beginning of the corporate philosophy, considers the efforts toward environmental conservation as an important issue for the purpose of performing sustainable business activities. In order to address this social issue, the Company has started "NITTAN's Carbon Neutrality", as a new approach, besides formulating and executing the environmental policy.

Environmental Policy

We shall fulfill the protection of the global environment, and the symbiosis with the community. Then, we shall make efforts to contribute actively to the community and the support cooperation activities for environmental protection, as autonomous business people. In addition, by promoting "NITTAN's Carbon Neutrality" to aim for a decarbonized society, we shall contribute to the protection of the global environment.

1. We shall make efforts sincerely and widely toward the activities related to environmental protection, technologically and economically, to maintain and enhance a sound environment.
2. We shall promote the technology development and the commercialization to contribute to reduction of greenhouse gases centered on CO2.
3. We shall promote the improvement and the innovation in manufacturing, to accelerate energy and resource saving, as well as waste reduction.
4. We shall comply with the environmental laws and regulations, as well as the international agreements, and instill the significance of environmental protection.
5. We shall be devoted to prevention of environmental pollution, to execute the conservation of local environment and the corporate ESG.
6. For the purpose of global environmental protection, we shall set goals and measures, and promote the continuous improvement.
7. Through the environmental education and the public relations activities, we shall seek to raise awareness of the global environmental issues and the symbiosis with the community.
8. We shall disclose this "Environmental Policy" publicly, to seek the symbiosis with the community.

The Company, centering on three items, "environmental protection", "reduction of environmental burdens", and "raising of environmental awareness", based on the environmental policy, takes concreate measures as follows:

We shall deploy positively net-shape activities set out in the environmental policy, and reduce consumption of material and energy.
In addition, with thorough 3R (Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle) Activity, we shall seek to recycle waste.

Environmental Management System

Environmental international standard ISO14001

The Company promotes the environmental improvement activities based on the environmental management system at the domestic production sites. We make efforts to promote continuous improvement, and reduce environmentally hazardous substances, by clarifying thoroughly "the environmental burdens" in production activities, from the product development to the production and the shipping.
